Virgo Full Moon Eclipse 4/14/25

Chaos or Clarity?

March is one of the most astrologically charged months of 2025. Big shifts, intense energy, and rapid changes are on the horizon. Here's why:

  • Two eclipses shake things up.

  • Venus retrogrades in Aries/Pisces starting March 1.

  • Mercury retrogrades in Aries/Pisces (9°) on March 15.

  • Spring Equinox in Aries occurs on March 20.

  • Neptune enters Aries for the first time in 165 years on March 30.

What does all this mean? The air is charged with possibility—vast, fast-moving, and unrelenting. Information will surge toward us in a whirlwind, zigzagging unpredictably and, at times, feeling overwhelming. This month is about navigating the turbulence, making sense of the flood of data, and sharpening our ability to recognize the right moments to act.

Of course, this kind of change can become turbulent and chaotic if we resist the current, ignore or dismiss the true messages, or fail to recognize the pivotal moments of insight and opportunity. The lessons will repeat and intensify until we finally receive and integrate them. The level of chaos we experience is directly proportional to our willingness to accept reality as it is and adapt accordingly, versus remaining in cognitive dissonance and doubling down on what we want it to be.

Evolve or repeat.

What is the flavor of change?

Aries & Pisces

Venus typically lingers in each sign for about 4–5 weeks, but when it retrogrades—roughly every 18 months—its stay extends to 2–3 months. Meanwhile, this month Mercury also weaves its own retrograde path through Aries and Pisces. Retrogrades invite us to slow down, reassess, and turn inward, urging us to reflect, recalibrate, and integrate the lessons we might otherwise rush past.

And then there's Neptune's entry into Aries—a once-in-a-lifetime shift.

The last time Neptune entered Aries, the first shots of the American Civil War were fired at Fort Sumter. Does this foreshadow a literal war? Hopefully not. But the battlefield has changed—today, the fight plays out in online debates, ideological clashes, and societal upheaval. It is keyboards, not bayonets causing the violence. Yet families are still being fractured, communities divided, and entire nations shifting allegiances. There's no denying that we are in the midst of a kind of cold civil war, one waged through the weaponization of disinformation, intentional propaganda, and the struggle to control perception and truth. In the words of Roger Ailes, founder of Fox News, "If you can control the information, you can control the people."

Key themes to consider:

1. Reassessment of Values

What we value is reflected in the people we align with, the words we speak, the actions we take, and the decisions we make. Venus retrograde calls for a deep reevaluation—what truly holds worth in our lives?

Venus is often linked to money, as currency is one way we assign value. This retrograde will likely bring financial challenges (pauses) that force us to confront our relationship with wealth, greed, security, and abundance. Are we driven by fear and greed or a sense of fairness and sustainability? This is a time to redefine what prosperity means—not just in material terms, but in emotional and spiritual wealth as well.

2. Toxic Masculinity vs. True Strength

Aries represents the divine masculine within us—not tied to gender but to an energetic force. At its best, Aries embodies assertiveness, courage, boundary-setting, and righteous action—the energy of heroes and good leaders. But whenever an astrological force is emphasized (especially through retrogrades), its shadow emerges, calling for recalibration.

Toxic masculinity will be on full display—bullying, victimhood, authoritarianism, aggression, recklessness, dominance, control, ego-driven leadership, suppression of emotions, and malignant narcissism.

Aries doesn't allow neutrality. You (we) will have to take a stand. So, choose wisely. Will you lean into courageous, conscious leadership, or will you be swept up in the shadow of force and .destruction? This is a time for assertion, not aggression; strength, not domination; and conviction, not coercion.

3. Endings & Beginnings

With Pisces representing endings and Aries representing beginnings, we stand in the gap of change itself. Grief makes sense here—what once was is no longer possible. So does fear and a palpable sense of uncertainty. We are being ushered into a new reality—perhaps without our permission.

But that doesn’t mean we are powerless. Far from it. The key is awareness over impulsivity—discerning when to act and when to pause. The choices we make now will send ripples into the future in ways we cannot yet fathom. While we may not control the tides of change, we do shape what emerges from them.

I suspect there will be urgent calls to rise in the months ahead—to stand in courage, to lead, to hold the line where it matters most. Get ready. You will be needed.

Which brings us to The Full Moon Eclipse:

(See below for totality information)

All eclipses dance with the nodes of the Moon—the hands of fate and destiny. In astrology, the North Node (NN) is the remedy, guiding us toward growth, while the South Node (SN) represents the shadow—the patterns, habits, and karmic baggage we must integrate or heal.

As astrologer Steven Forrest, quoting Michael Lutin, once put it: "The North Node is the meeting, and the South Node is the bottle."

Anyone who has walked that path knows—the pull of the bottle is strong. The South Node’s gravity tugs us toward old habits, familiar escapes, and unconscious loops. But the remedy? A collective 12-step meeting of sorts—an intentional shift toward awareness, accountability, and humility.

Welcome to the collective recovery meeting. Pull up a chair and take a seat. Because the first step in recovery requires radical honesty.

This is where eclipses come into play. Because this is a South Node Eclipse, Virgo's shadows will be fully illuminated—not just now, but for the next 18 months. At the same time, Pisces holds the remedy.

Virgo and Pisces represent the dance between heaven and earth—the physical body and the spirit that animates it, the product and the prime mover. In truth, we need both.

Virgo governs the tangible, structured, and analytical—it is how the divine moves through us in practical ways. It rules over information, discernment, organization, and control. However, with a South Node Eclipse here, we are being asked to confront Virgo's shadow.

The Virgo shadow manifests as:

  • Disinformation – Mistaking facts for truth or becoming overly fixated on details while missing the bigger picture.

  • Judgment – Harsh criticism of self and others, an obsession with perfection.

  • Stubbornness – Clinging to "rightness" rather than embracing nuance or change.

  • Hubris – Thinking we know better, an over-reliance on logic at the expense of empathy.

  • Worry & Anxiety – A need for control that leads to overthinking and fear-based decisions.

  • Selfishness – Prioritizing efficiency, productivity, or personal gain over human connection and compassion.

The antidote?

Pisces carries a wisdom rooted in surrender, trust, and humility—a deep knowing that we are more than the sum of our achievements, bank accounts, or societal status. It operates on a mystical level, reminding us that we are all human, all imperfect, and all interconnected. When Virgo’s energy becomes dense with pride, stubbornness, and self-righteousness, the cure is conscious surrender—inviting in Pisces’ heart of humility, compassion, and empathy. It is the antidote to self-absorption, a gentle yet profound reminder of our shared humanity.

But this is not a call for passivity—quite the opposite. It is the choice between selfless service and selfish intention. Pisces reminds us that our purpose is not to hoard, dominate, or divide, but to uplift, to give more, and to help more.

It is intuition, but not the kind that conveniently aligns with our own biases—that is Virgo’s shadow. Instead, it is the kind that expands our awareness, opening us to the vast, universal truths of what is good for all.

Virgo seeks to fix—Pisces teaches us to feel so true healing can unfold. This eclipse challenges us to find balance between precision and presence, effort and ease, intellect and soul. It’s a call to integrate the mind’s discernment with the heart’s wisdom, allowing both to work in harmony rather than opposition.

With Saturn standing beside the Piscean Sun, March won’t be a month of abstract shifts—real consequences, lessons, and responsibilities will unfold, demanding accountability. This is a time of tangible change, not just spiritual musings. Aries energy ignites the fire, ensuring that these choices come with intensity, friction, and conflict. But conflict itself isn’t the enemy—it’s a catalyst for transformation. The real question is: Will we engage recklessly, led by ego and impulse? Or will we channel this energy with purpose, courage, and wisdom to create meaningful change? Buckle up—March is a turning point.

Let’s make it count.

“Show, by your actions, that you choose peace over war, freedom over oppression, voice over silence, service over self-interest, respect over advantage, courage over fear, cooperation over competition, action over passivity, diversity over uniformity, and justice over all.” ~ Anthony J. Marsella
