Astrology is the connection between the cosmos and us. An astrological chart maps out the energetic cycles in our lives, giving us a clear understanding of ourselves and our experiences. An astrology chart can illuminate the deepest layers within, and it can be a powerful tool for self-realization, purpose, and inspiration. Astrology can shed light on even the most subtle dimensions of our psychology, revealing our whole selves: mind, body, spirit, and soul.

Astrology is a learned language.  This class is a step-by-step progression that builds on itself, similar to how we learn a language: first, learning symbols called letters, then putting those letters together to form words, words to form sentences, sentences to create paragraphs, and paragraphs to create meaning.  In this class, we cover the very basics of astrology:  signs,  planets,  houses, and aspects, to find layers of insight and meaning within the whole astrological chart.

This class is about YOU and your chart.

This is a class about better understanding astrology. It is also,

and more importantly, about better understanding yourself.

THE SCHEDULE

The How

Week 1–Introduction and The Signs
I will provide a quick overview of the history of astrology, elements, modes, and the birth chart in general.

  • We focus on signs as the why or how of the chart, and the fact signs are the expression of how specific energy is being expressed.

  • We will also look at how this unique energy shows up in your personal life.

The What

Week 2–The Planets

  • We will discuss how the planets interact and can be interpreted as archetypal “parts” of our evolving personality.

  • We will dive deeper into the meaning of each planet and begin to practice merging planets and signs.

  • We will also discuss the North and South Nodes of the Moon.

The Where

Week 3–The Houses

  • We will take an in-depth look at the houses as a mandala of stages of life experience to bring greater insight into the whole journey.

  • We will look at the meaning of the ascendant in a birth chart.

  • We will also begin to combine planets, signs, and houses to practice whole chart interpretation.

The Conversation

Week 4–Aspects

  • We take a look at the angles between planets in a chart to reveal how these angles affect the energy of chart interpretation.

  • We will discuss orbs of influence.

  • We put it all together – planets, signs, houses, and aspects.

Bonus Week 5

We make space to answer any questions you may have and elaborate on any topics YOU want.

What you will need

You will need a birth chart. If you choose to use a birth chart other than your own, please make sure you have permission to do so.  You can get a free copy of your birth chart at astro.com. To get a birth chart you will need your exact birth time, date and location. If you have any questions about obtaining a birth chart, please feel free to contact me. I will be happy to assist.

  • This is a fully interactive online class where I will be able to share my screen and connect with all of you. You will be able to ask questions and join in the discussion. For those of you who cannot attend, or need to miss a class, the class will be recorded for you to watch later.

  • You will also have access to a private Facebook page to practice and support one another in the journey.
